The state’s DWI task force is considering reducing the threshold for drunken driving to a 0.07 percent blood-alcohol level, and one legislator said Friday he will promote the idea in the 1999 General Assembly. In North Carolina, a 0.08 percent blood-alcohol level is evidence of driving while impaired - a standard that went into effect Dec. 1, 1997. The old level was 0.10 percent. Lt. Gov.
