County Legislator Michael A. Fitzpatrick, facing trial for his second drunken-driving arrest in the Town of Evans, has been convicted on a similar charge in Florida — bringing his total number of drunken-driving arrests to three in the last four years.

Fitzpatrick, a Democrat who has represented South Buffalo for 23 years, was arrested in Indian Shores, Fla., in 1997, local police records show. The Florida arrest, which ended in a $504 fine and probation for Fitzpatrick, does not appear on
